Title: Taxi Al and others were right !
Post by: cd 2.2 on 02 April 2014, 00:46:14
Well as Taxi Al has said to me on more than one occasion on the lead up to me changing the camshaft sensor "They never last for long, get a genuine part" ! Your 100% correct  ::)

My ignorance on the matter has proved quite a comedy over the last 2 days .... I'm on camshaft sensor #4  ;D Only one of the pattern units came close to even thinking about working properly, but even that resulted in lumpy running and the gearbox fault light coming on! Every sensor supplied has been a different type, I never knew that many existed   :o
Seems that none of the pattern units work (annoyingly apart from the one that my dad has in his car that no one seems to know what it is)! I'm giving up and buying a genuine one as I'm going to waste more petrol fetching new units that it would cost in the first place buying genuine  ::)

Lesson learned (the hard way I might add) ... I'm going to listen next time  :y
