Anyone know how often the ASKMID database www.askmid.co.uk
is updated?
Was expecting a change overnight that hasnt occured
:(

Same as the Police computers...
anything upto 2 weeks or more...
-
may have answered my own question....
For private individuals it is the responsibility of the insurance provider to get details of a policy or changes on MID within 7 days of the effective date.
For company vehicles it is the responsibility of the policy holder to ensure that their company vehicle details are provided for MID. To find out more about this please contact your insurance provider.
So hopefully nothing to worry about, but if the postman doesnt bring anything then a phonecall will be made.

Cheers
Slightly annoying as are waiting on the new certificate in order to sort the tax.
I know the Post office can check MOT / Insurance online but if the database isn't up to date sounds like I will need the certifiate. >:(

It's public sector IT. Somewhere a carrier pigeon has a 5 1/4" floppy disk containing your record cable tied to its' leg. ;)

I didn't say they'd know what to do with it when it arrived! ;D

Well, it is insured, so blag time at the post office, will hopefully have a fax to try and convince them with :y
-
After speaking to DVLA (realised we hadnt had the log book yet)
They suggested the Post office couldnt help, and to use the DVLA office.
So wandered in, short wait.....
Log book applied for, changed to disabled class, and 1 shiny new tax disk :)
Didnt seem to car the insurance proof was a fax :)
Very happy with that :D
Ljay will be even more so as she would have been car less if I had failed ;D

BTW – what is the difference between ASKMID and this database http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/application;JSESSIONID_EvlPortalApp=LPpnFWW23JPkpg8JSQZGDLQgTx1QhvTyK7MxX5v74YJ7Qr52P4Mg!-1767177557!-717691557?origin=vnav_bar.jsp&event=bea.portal.framework.internal.refresh&pageid=Vehicle+Enquiry
