I went to take my rear wheels off yesterday intending to adjust the handbrake, only to find that the wheelnuts had been 'welded' on by the tyre place who took them off last. ie they've been done up FT with the rattle gun!! >:( >:( >:(
After rounding off my wheelbrace and splitting a socket I went to the local tyre shop (different place) who were too busy and asked me to come back today. No problem I thought. ::)
I've just gone out to the car now to find a back tyre flat as a pancake!!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Why go to a different place? I would have made the buggers who caused the problem solve it; if they then broke anything they would have to cover the repairs.

Had a similar problem years ago when I had a Mk2 Cav. Wheel brace curled around then stud, broke socket t bar, used a ratchet and got two out before that broke. Mate with me had aa cover. Aa man reckond its was at over 200 lbs torque. Went back to tyre place and got tools replaced and other wheel removed and refitted properly. They tried all types of excuses but could not get away fron the fact they did it with no care

It wasn't a local place Ron. ::) Believe me had it been nearby, I wouldn't have even tried to undo them myself and would have been straight round!!! >:(
Anyway I've pumped the tyre up and I'll be able to drive it to the tyre shop later, so it's not a complete disaster..... yet! :-\

....... and breath!! ::) All sorted now, puncture repaired and both rear wheels removed and refitted! :y
I reckon the Gods of OOF were looking down on me and decided some punishment was in order for daring to suggest Rog use K-Seal in his Volvo..... :-\ :-\ :-\ ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D

Thats a lot then :o Windy gun winkers >:( These blokes in the fast fit tyre places are in so much of a rush its no wonder they make mistakes ::) If ever you needed to change a tyre at the side of the road you would have no chance getting the wheel off :(
