Title: Code P1130 petrol 2.2 manual. What does it mean?
Post by: terry paget on 12 April 2014, 14:36:55
KR02 RSO 2.2 petrol manual saloon
My son Jonny's car had the engine block orange EML come on last Monday, car still ran OK. My OBD2 reader reads P1130 Manufacturer Control. I cannot find P1130 in the code list for the 2.2. What does it mean please?

My code reader lists P1130 as 'Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) bank 1 malfunction'

Thanks gentlemen. No 1 O2 sensor it is. I assume that means the first (upper) O2 sensor. Interesting. I had the same fault on his brother's similar car last June. No sympton ever developed. I recall reading on this foum that the upper sensor only has any effect on starting, or indeed any function. I shall see if I can cancel it, and then if it recurs.
