Title: diesel injectors
Post by: turtle-eyed-curt on 13 April 2014, 13:09:42
Hi all, I'm after a little advice, I've got a 2004 1.5dci megane with a few issues, I've done a leak test on the injectors and they are all knackered https://www.dropbox.com/s/g6ws7wkocbmodnr/20140412_151630.jpg
in the picture the black line on the cups is 35ml and in the renault service book it says any more than this after 2 minutes of idling and 4 full accelerations is a fail, I stopped my engine after only 35/40 seconds idle.

My question is do I get these injectors reconditioned or should I just go and buy re-con ones.

I did put forward a proposal that enabled OOF members to have a discount, think it's still relavent. Might be worth having a look at.
Company (on eBay0 is  'injectortune' but you get the discount by contacting admin on here (I think)

Just replace the 2 that have the higher reading the other 2 will be fine and you don't need to worry about the injector pump it's ok. If it was knackered the engine wouldn't start.
Unfortunately these injectors have to be replaced you can't service them yourself.
