About 2 1/2 years ago I bought a battery from Advanced Battery Supplies (www.advancedbatterysupplies.co.uk/vauxhallomegapetroldieselcarbatteries), It cost me £45 back then, including delivery. It arrived the next day, with an upgrade to a better type for no extra charge!
Recently it has been losing charge, so I emailed the company to check the warranty and I had an immediate response, asking me to charge it overnight, independently of the vehicle and ring them (freephone) the following afternoon regarding the outcome.
After charging, I used a 5 amp load to discharge it and the terminal voltage dropped to 10 volts within 2 minutes and sustained that voltage for a couple of hours.
Dead cell, I concluded, so I reported this to the suppliers, and they readily agreed with my diagnosis and are sending me a replacement immediately!
Can you ask for better than that?
Ron.
P.S. The standard warranty is for 4 years - better than Halfrauds?

There are some excellent deals online for batteries. I recently bought an Exide 72ah from Carparts4less via their ebay shop for £52 delivered! 8)
Ordered at about 2pm and it was delivered 10am the next day! :y
Can't vouch for their after sales service though as so far all is well! ;)
