Ken still needs a pair. sorry. :-[

Very worthwhile mod on 3.2. Done mine :y

why not just buy new ones? After all, used are unlikely to be less than 12 years old, and they don't take being disturbed very well.

would treble the value of the car. £500 each from GM. Don't know how much 200 cells are from suppliers might be worth a look.

Then start the universe smoking, and buy pattern. Mine was £70, fits perfectly, and I'm tempted to replace the other side when I do the system in the next couple of weeks. I hate faffing about with exhausts.

Certainly been considering that option Nick,as I did over 180 miles yesterday picking up one set as unfortunately when I got to the second pickup they had been stolen from the other members lockup. And when you think about it 2 pattern cats @£70 each plus a two year warranty and free next day delivery and I DO apreciate that I'm going to have members on here jumping up and down about using them, BUT as you say they are going to be a better option than two grand to the stealers as I'm doing two cars or fitting 10+ year old second hand cats.....got me thinking now :-\

I will be charged with treason for this next statement by the genuine inquisition police :D.
why not fit pattern 3.0L cats on the car and get the bosses welded in them to fit the 3.2 lamdas,..
-
Will it affect the emissions readings on the MOT?
-
Its a well proven mod running 3.0L cats on a 3.2. Did mine before i got the dreaded codes, think there a how to aswell, just gets rid of the pre-cat also allows the engine to flow better. :)
-
Only a bit of a worry, that it would'nt go through the MOT,so thanks for the info :y
-
For what its worth, I ran 2 x pattern cats on my old 3lt without any problems whatsoever ;)
They ended up on Bixy's car before he sold it again with no problems :)
-
I was just a bit worried as to the legal side of fitting any non approved 3.0 ltr cat on a post 2001 3.2,as the website for the cat suppliers clearly state that and are asking for the cars reg number :-\

Never known a MOT man care tbh.
As long as they are in one piece, not blowing and pass the emissions test that is :)
As for the website asking questions, I think it is more down to covering there arse if you claim they sent the wrong ones ;)

Thanks to all for the advice....decision made :y
