Hi Guys,
ive looked into the maintenece guides and what not regarding actually checking the fluid, im guessing its simular to checking the fluid levels on diffs undo the nut and watch it trickle out right?
because i had mine up on the ramp the other day cracked off the nut to check and it flew out! so i quickly done it back up (was flowing for about 1/4 of a second)
Is my box supidly overfilled, but if it is how? because surely the once youve filled up to the hole it would trickle out?
or am i doing it completely wrong? lol :o

Be interesting to know because mine did exactly the same. Mine was engine running and had been for a short drive beforehand. Haven't looked at it since.

Engine off but been on a short run to deliver some tyres come back and went straight on the ramp???

you said you'd looked at the maintenance guide ....... ::) ::)
It says ...... Now chock the wheels, ensure the auto box is in park and start the engine. ;) ;)

Doesn't explain mine though, it was done level with the engine running and still had the same result

Autobox fluid can expand when it gets tired, which might explain it.
Opening the plug without the engine running will cause it to pour out, as said. :y

It was said somewhere here that ATF does expand due to age/use .... too technical for a mere spanner twirler ::) ::) ::)
