It amazes me that people never consider the consequences when 98% of their attention is on anything but controlling safely a 1 to 2 tonne high speed, potentially lethal, lump of metal. At least it was a truck she hit with the driver unhurt not some innocent family wiped out. :(

Looking at he pics, and the way some of the vehicles are stopped, it's a miracle hers was the only fatality  :o

I wonder if there are any statistics for road accidents with an age denominator?

Inexperience used to be a benchmark, i wonder if the tech savvy older drivers are becoming victims due to ipod player satnav phone dvd air freshener distraction?
