What do you mean nothing?I had on my Vectra X30XE with custom induction like the Mantzel one and a lightweight flywheel it gained 223 BHP on the Dyno

"it gained 223 BHP"

I don't think it *gained* 223bhp... 223bhp total?!  ???

Body kit is hard to come by, some may say rare  :o

Induction thingy, not worth it. Might as well buy some magic beans, that will help performance just as much  :y

this air box wont create any extra power.. if you fill it up with water and compare to your original tubes you wont see an important  volume increase..

plus if you want to increase induction pressure to replicate helmholtz resonance this design is wrong.. the only effect it may have (in case it has higher volume) is momentary throttle response (which is also dependant on other factors) ..

as for the dyno results, most of them are rarely calibrated frequently and the results are valid if yours is manual..  measuring autos on dyno may lead to very misleading results..

Serek , I know you are a knowledgeable man..  but those companies had to earn money..  I have spent lots of time reading searching on those na inlet manifold mods and never seen some racer or company using this sh*t design..

Mantzel is a very respectable Opel tuner. Also i have a living proof that it gains BHP,so no need to convince me that it won't work. :)

painter: I have enough hands on the job experience and before that have read lots of pages

doctor : unfortunately have experienced lots of problems in the family and corrected/fixed at least 2 doctors fatal mistake  ..  and I read may be more than a graduate..

I dont claim to be tuner but I'm an engineer and no need to be too wise for a sh*t design..  ;D   if you are interested what the members think about that box, go on find the related gallery topic and read the discussions.. so many members have the same idea as me.. ;)

and finally ,  do you think, if that simple box would work and make some serious gains,  would the vx/opel engineers go in the hassle of design of that complicated inlet with many tubings and control mechanisms ?

have a look at this, does it look familiar ?

just an information ,

1.you may gain some small power gains because of very short tubing and cone filter on high rpm range but not because of that box..

2. you may also loose some power because your filter may suck hot air if not designed properly..

3 definitely you will loose low rpm torque which will effect your fuel..

but if you want something proper, this is a power box which is hard to use on V6 because of limited space and will be really costly
if you want to spend money do something like that
