Title: Rear screen lower rubber trim
Post by: Alex W on 30 April 2014, 18:42:37
Is this piece of trim supposed to be stuck on? If so, with what?

The one on my car is very loose and comes away very easily. Pressing it into the groove in the rubber window seal doesn't really hold it.

yea its supposed to be stuck on. usually stuck on with the adhesive the screen is held on with. if you know any windscreen fitters see if they could rebond it back on for a small fee

Does anyone know what type of sealant is required here? Thanks in advance.

Ideally you need it to be stuck in so it can be removed again if necessary, I tend to use that black roofing sealent, its bonds well but doesn't actually dry rock hard.
