Looks like a variant of the rotary valve engines

Sleeve valves would probably flow better anyway

it has some merit but, productin and tooling cost would be horrendous and what happens when the system gets a bit of wear in it? noisy?

Guy said that it might last up to 500.000km (310.000 miles) so it might be a good solution.
Martin - what is the difference between this system and sleeve valves?

Sleeve valves go up and down and are if you like liners
