Not a good recording but any ideas?
-
How odd! As it increases with revs, I'd say one of the ancillaries driven by the aux belt - or worse would be the fuel pump?
-
Thanks James, just started it from cold, and it is barely noticeable. I agree it sounds like an aux issue, and it sounds louder when leaning over drivers side. AC was off and it is definitely louder when hot. :-\

PAS pump ;)
-
I'd go with that actually, I had one fail before and it sounded like that :y
-
Ohh I hope not, since I posted, it has disappeared, If it was PAS, is it likely to be intermittent.? :-\

It can be Chris ...
Have you noticed the steering becoming lighter of late, ie; the degree of 'assistance' varying perhaps?
-
Have a look and see if the nuts on the PAS pulley are loose or the aux belt itself might be on its last legs with bits of it peeling away.

No, seems fine Byron, and the noise is absent at present, I'll check all the aux gear when I get a moment. :y (see post on sump plug)
