Title: Colour Photographs England 1939
Post by: Rods2 on 20 May 2014, 23:09:48
These picture capture England in 1939 and show in many ways how little the Thames in London and the countryside has changed in 75 years. These are the best pre-WWII colour photographs that I have seen. :y :y :y

Great pictures, Mr Rods. :y
My late father once owned a Morris 8.......his first car being a Wolseley Hornet Daytona Special which cost the not insignificant sum of £150 in 1946. :y

Nice :y

The first picture was taken on Salthouse Heath :y the road isn't much wider today, but the gorse is a proper bastid for scratching paintwork...

Spent many days up there as a yoof :y
