The dowager Omega had an advisory for 'weeping rear shocks' at it's last MOT.
I can't see any oil but I've given them a wipe down just to be on the safe side.
Fingers crossed. :y

If you take it to fitquicks they will cleverly spray the shocks with oil and point it out ;D
Good luck to the old girl :y

Yes, they have more weeping customers than rear shocks. Except for me, of course. I just point out the fact that they are talking bollards. Usually does the trick.

She passed. :y
Two advisory items.
001.....Front brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened.
002.....Nearside rear brake pipe slightly corroded.
How much for front discs and pads?........Easy DIY fit?
There was also mention of the anti-roll bar but not listed as an advisory.
MOT till 5th June 2015. Sounds good to me. :y :y :y

It passed, don't be fiddling with it. All brake discs are worn, pitted or scored.
Good result. :y

I'm pretty good with discs and pads, and if they don't come to more than £40 I could be tempted to get my spanners out. ;D

Yep....that usually seems to be the case. The family Corsa was exactly as you describe.

Heat resistant paint. Keeps the rust at bay ling enough to wear them out. :)

They seem to underseal the Omega pretty good , a bit like the old Carltons . Never needed any welding , just a re-coat of underseal sometimes where the jack is used :y
