So, no other 'eadbangers out there then ?

Blimey; Aerosmith, Twisted Sister and the Quo, but after that, I don't know any of them!
Used to go regularly when it first started until ?1988 (when Iron Maiden headlined and Kiss where miffed cos they were lower on the bill), but didn't keep up after that.Wasn't it simply 'Monsters of Rock' then? And just one day?
I did crew for Whitesnake in 1990 (Thunder were really good early in the day and I remember the lead singer (?Danny?) gawping at my girlfriend which I rather enjoyed.....)
Lots of pompous americans trying to get on stage when Jimmy Page jammed with Aerosmith was another memory from that day.
I thought Sabbath were unbelievably bad in 2005 + 2008 (only seen You Tube footage, mind you)
I see tribute bands more these days as at least some of them are as good as the real thing and at a sensible admission price.....
Used to live at The Marquee in Wardour street and the Hammersmith Odeon too...
Have tinnitus in my right ear from the 1984 May 4th new line up gig from Motorhead
....the dear dead days.....

;D ;D ;D I saw Saxon at St Georges Hall, Bradford (Wheels of Steel tour IIRC) 82 ish :-\
Ended up next to a speaker setup :D
I don't think I could here anything properly for a couple of day.
I know afterward, I just sat down outside, up against a wall for a hour or so because I couldn't even walk without staggering ;D
Oh me and the things I got upto in my youth :D

They played this festival a couple of years ago. Regardless of whether this kind of music is your thing, they were great fun. He's a real showman who knows how to work a crowd :y

He left for a while in the 90's and formed Widowmaker :y
They did a couple of albums of which I have one, Blood and bullets which is absolutely brilliant.
Even better then the Twisted Sister stuff imo and well worth spending your money on if you can find it :y :y
