Hi im new here, and a new Omega owner as well.
I bought my car really cheap, and with low prices come a few errors.
My main problem is, that when the car is idling it will (from time to time) run a bit "rough" or sound like its "coughing", it does this too when i im driving at low RPM's and i push the throttle a bit.
As soon as i punch the gas pedal and get up to high RPM's, this issue goes away, but will come back once in a while when driving at low RPM's.
It seems that when the car get warmed up the problem almost completely stops, but the problem has been getting worse over the last few days.
Hope you will take the time to help a newcomer. :)

have you tried cleaning out the idle control valve.
egr can give problems also, when at low revs.

I have not, but i will do that. What exactly is the function of the egr?

exhaust gas recirculation valve.
emits hot exhaust gasses into inlet on cold start i believe.
usually get blanked of as not required tbh.
if leaking past, will cause splutter/missfire at low revs.

Pull one of the HT leads and see if you have any oil in the plug well :)
Number 5 if you can get to it.
Its the one at the rear / left hand side as you look at the engine

true, could be oil in the wells due to leaking cam covers.

This sounds very plausable, i will check it this weekend when i take the engine apart.
