hi, guys and gals, this may sound like a daft question , but have looked everywhere and cant find how to check auto oil level, not even a refrence to it in the hand book, am i right in thinking there isnt a way short of taking sump off gearbox. :y

Hot and on a level surface. It has a plug in the side like a manual would. I do believe there's a how to in the forum somewhere on how to do it.

This used to be dead easy on the senators and carltons as they had a dip stick tube which you also used to top up.
As they had the same gearbox's I cant see why they got rid ???
I wonder if you could retro fit, would certainly make life easier!
Simon.
