Hi i am looking at converting a 2 litre auto to a 3.0 manual but i don't know whats involved i have a complete donor car

Basically, drop the front subfame and gearbox mounts, including engine, loom, gearbox and front struts from both cars and swap over.
Also might need to swap both dash to engine bay looms over and you'll need to swap the brake master cylinder, pedal assemblies and throttle cable/cruise gubbins, along with a bit of trim from the centre console :y
A couple of hours weekends should see it done ::)

Diff ratio will also be all wrong. If memory serves, there's something different about the propshaft and the ABS system won't play with an ECU that's expecting traction control. That might not be an issue with the dumber ECU that the 3.0 has, but I'm sure some wiring between ABS and engine ECU will need attention, unless you swap the ABS over too.
Would be easier just to buy a V6 car, TBH.

Oh yes, front half of propshaft varies depending on engine and gear box combo, think seven possible ones, so may as well drop the rear subframe as well... this will help with the diff issue too...
Kevins' suggestion is easily the more straight forward, then keep your old 3.0 as a spares car :y

If i remember correctly the front stump of propshaft varies in length based on the gearbox type (at/mt) and v-engine's propshafts have a bit different flange and rubber 'plates'. Not sure if this aplies to vauxies but this just bases on my experience on opel's version of Migies ::)
