Title: He'll Accept £1200 for this ...
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 26 June 2014, 15:15:20
No cambelt history and the  'full service' which is apparently being carried out today will in fact be just an oil and filter change. I've contacted them and they say they'll accept £1200 for the old girl.

They don't come across as 'informed'.......so beware. :y

I'm tempted......the colour puts me off but on the plus side I believe that 3.2 Elite estates are the most sought after of Omega. :y

51 plate borderline between having a brown steering wheel that is like a turd, or the grey stuff.

Either way, Gold is Gold is Champyne is gay.

The brown steering wheel and matching top dash was only available with the 'Shale' interior, or cream as most would put it  ;D

Thankfully it was never fitted to the DBW V6's...so no 3.2 can have it, only the 2.5 and 3.0. The 2.2's could have it, but they came out a little earlier before they switched to the DBW V6's.

Looking at the pics, it's cream with charcoal dash/wheel/centre console/door tops and door pockets :y

No obvious rust, and looking a very tidy car, ties in with the mileage looking at the wear, or lack of, on the seats... no satnav, but the rest of the Elite gubbins is present and correct :y

If I didn't have the Battlebus, I've seriously consider that at £1200. And spend £800-900 LPGing it, and use it as a load lugger.

just had a go of this  :y

body work is very good few little scratches here and there. front bumper got the usual scuffs.
The rear bumper has been sprayed the wrong gold to match the rest of the car.

But in all bodywork is good  67000 miles

interior is in very good condition never seen any rips etc.

air con didnt work. The display which was in german never responded when i pressed the buttons on the end of the stick. 2 keys 3 previous owners , No cambelt history.sat nav disc in glovebox.

the car drove lovely box and engine felt smooth. took it to 90 mph no steering shake but there is some clunking under the front O/S wheel.

if you want to have a test drive go and see him he will just hand you the keys.

did notice slight oil leak around sump area..

ps i am no v6 expert

Oh the petrol light is now on   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Dont the 3.2 shift  :D :D :D

As I've taken the time to post this thread, and Mr Bigtimecube has taken the time to drive the Elite in question......It would be nice for someone here at OOF to buy the car......£999 perhaps. :y

Twelve is what he said to me on the phone. However, with faulty aircon, which could prove expensive, and a couple of nasty knocking sounds, £900-£1000 seems closer to the mark.

Let's not forget that after all is said and done it's still just a 13 year old Vauxhall.

Those buttons are Cruise ;)

The display is controlled purely from sterring wheel and stereo. The German thing is nothing to worry about.
