Will be doing the cambelt on the 3.2 this summer, I have the Laser timing tool kit ready.
Will also most likely be going down the genuine cambelt kit from a VX dealer presuming it isn't ridiculously expensive, If the kit is more than I thought there are some websites or cambelt kit brands that are recommended by OOF members other than GM ?
Also what else should i change while i'm doing the cambelt kit, If it makes a difference car isn't far off 200k...
Thanks in advance... :)

Get the SKF Cam Belt and Aux Belt kits and you'll get the water pump and a brand new aux tensioner included and the price will be significantly less than VX. Then save yourself the work and get Daz to fit it all and know the jobs been done properly :y
Personally I wouldn't trust the Laser timing tools TBH as there have been a number with issues, the Sykes kit is a better quality item with no issues.
A good flush of the cooling system including the Rad and the matrix would be a good idea as well.

Jay, try buypartsby http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/buy/VAUXHALL/OMEGA/3.2/__/54/engine/belts-tensioners/timing-belt-kits/ (http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/buy/VAUXHALL/OMEGA/3.2/__/54/engine/belts-tensioners/timing-belt-kits/) - they supply Contitech kits (OEM supplier) with SKF bearings - used quite a few of theirs to date - no issues :y

Ah yes forgot about this site :y
there appears to be two versions of the kit... LINK (http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/details/VAUXHALL/OMEGA/3.2/2002/__/54/CT990K1/timing-belt-kit/) £88.14 and LINK (http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/details/VAUXHALL/OMEGA/3.2/2002/__/54/CT990K2/timing-belt-kit/) £94.84 apart from part numbers and a screw/bolt Kit Part 4/5 differance they appear to be the same :-\
Did see this Gates kit on eBay LINK (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Omega-3-2-24v-Cam-Belt-Kit-Feb-2001-Aug-2003-/260852388519?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cbc0392a7) for £94.94 they've sold one a year by looks of the transaction history :o

Really, looks/feels well made with good reviews on the net and on here from what I've read :(

I got mine from them last month just give them your engine number and they will give you the right kit they are genuine Continental kits with skf bearings mine was the later engine one and cost £101 with postage, don't forget you will need a torx socket E20 and a 30mm deep ring spanner for adjusting. :y :y

There was a batch of faulty Laser timing kits a good few years back, but I'd be surprised if there are any still in circulation. I use one and, whilst it's not the best quality kit, it does the job.
As said, get a Gates, SKF or Contitech kit from BuyPartsBy, for example. :y
