Those Turks are mad :o :o

Woman pilot?.... ::) ::)
No spatial awareness. :)
-
We live quite close to Waddington and have tyre marks on the roof. :)
-
The ones who are mad are all those idiots standing in the undershoot .... just think WHY it is called that ?? and as for the prat with the walking stick .... words fail me !!
The runway at Waddington starts around 200 metres (600ft) from the road so on a 3 degree approach the aircraft should be about 10 metres (30 ft) above the road.. if on a 2.5 degree approach it'll be a tad lower. Fast jet pilots doing visual approachs tend to land "on the numbers" rather than at the "Instrument Landing Point" which is some way down the runway, as it is DESIGNED to ensure the aircraft is at 35 feet as it crosses the runway edge ... a safety matter when landing in poor weather on instruments.
Pilot doing what he's trained to do .. idiots standing in the wrong place .. and the idiots think they are right and the pilot wrong !!!! DOH !!
-
Nige you should know by now, the general population is always right ;D As for the pilot, well... they should be better trained to know not to land at an actual airfield :o I mean, what were they thinking ::)
-
A low landing, well, fancy that. I think aircraft should land a bit higher instead. ::)

Reminds me of all 45 people who are trying to close Gatwick because of the 'noise' ::)
Not one of them was born when the airport opened...
... officially in 1930 ;D

Ahh, the old.. "I want to buy this house but it's next to a race track / airport / preserved railway. Never mind. I'll buy it anyway and then campaign to close the ****ers down." ::)
Had the oopsers lacing the fuel tanks of the tug aircraft with sugar at a gliding club I used to attend because we were "flying past their bedroom windows" (at 2000 feet) and "looking in". ;D
Still, everyone thinks the universe revolves around them these days, so hardly surprising. ::)
