Trundling around the A46 minding my own business on the way to Hemswell Cliff at a steady 60 - 65 when suddenly there's one of those bl**dy Audi repmobiles stuck up my chuff. 'Aha' thought I, almost onto the dual carriageway, just press that little button on top of the stick, and 'gun it' off of the roundabout. Give that blooming 2ltr diesel a facefull of dust... Wait for it... Wait. O.K. Shove the 'loud pedal'... "ROOOAAAARRRR"...... As I get left sitting red faced with what appears to be half the population of Lincolnshire peering out of their cars at ME. Took a quick look at the back of the Audi, 'HuH'? That doesn't say 2 L diesel... it says.......RS4... Damn... :-[ :o

In the immortal words of Homer Simpson...
Doh ::)
-
Can't argue with that... ;D
-
That will teach you. Don't mess with audi's they'll bite you in the backside ;D
Next time instead of the throttle, stamp on the pedal next to it and watch his reaction :y
-
I never wished so much in my life that I still had my RS500.... :( :'(
-
the last time I raced with audi , there was only a simple tdi sign.. I couldnt leave it behind even at 240 ;D
but then on the exit of a tunnel his turbo lag was useful :)
and rs4 is a whole different story ;D :y

I could put up with an RS6 if somebody gives me one.
There was a 2008 V10 for sale which had been taken to those nice people at DMS. The price was £26,000 and they claimed it had 690 BHP. :y

Mates got an RS4, driven it a few times, not the fastest of Audi's but bloody quick and really do stick to the road on them corners. :o

If the Audi was in a straight line of stationary traffic the 2.2 might have a half chance(if the crank sensor doesn't give in first) :D :D ;D
We had a customer come in to our shop a few months Back with a rs6. Got talking to him about it as you do. It was a lovely motor until he told me the price to replace the carbon ceramic brakes all round....... £9000 :o not sure wether to believe him or not :-\

Page 45 of this confirms it. I'll never moan about Vauxhall prices again ;D

I thought that carbon ceramic brakes were supposed to last the lifetime of the car. :-\

That's what I thought but he seemed to think that they were about 25% worn. He also said that the were useless from cold and in the wet

Not necessary on a road car, I think.

They list normal brakes but sell the discs singularly :(

I followed an A6 this afternoon for about 15 miles through the twisty country A roads, which he obviuosly wasn't used to or he was pissed! ::)
He was going between 25 and 40 tops on the straights, braked for every corner, and nearly went in the hedge when a bus came the other way!! ;D Unfortunately every time I had a chance to get by, there was oncoming, so I had to suffer! ::)
I certainly kept my distance though! What a muppet!! >:(

Audi. 4 rings on the grille. One ringpiece behind the wheel. ;D

And in their Beemers, destroy them...

This is the reason why the brakes on the Mercedes McLaren SLR continually 'pulse' lightly on and off to keep the brakes warm and reduce the chance of an expensive hedge interface

Ok who did it ;D
