Hi I am new to the forum to-day, Iv a 1999 Omega CDX V6, that I baught since new,and love to bits.I had a problem the other day it started cutting out on me , but it seemed easy to restart.Owing to this I thought that it might be petrol problem, bet no had it checked and still stops in drive, but it starts up imidatly, any ideas any one ??.

Sounds like the crankshaft sensor is starting to fail...
Try the paperclip test in the Maintenance Guides section and see what fault codes are there :y
If it is the cranksensor then only buy from your local Vauxhall dealer. Buying pattern sensors and those that claim to be genuine on ebay is a false economy...

Tank you, will try that, ok if i enter code will some one help. Many thank's.

If its always at idle or overrun that it stalls, clean the ICV with come carb cleaner, and a single drop of fine machine oil.

Had new Cam Shaft Cencer's in stalled yester-day and has made no difference to the car, have you any other thought on the problem, please. R
The crankshaft sensor is the one that was suggested as the likely culprit... V6 cam sensors rarely fail :-\
Did you do the paper clip check for any fault codes?
Have you cleaned the Idle Control Valve as TheBoy suggested?
The crank sensor is the one next to the oil filter. The cam sensor is the one on the top of the passenger side head :y

Thank's for your quick repliy, some one elce is doing the job for me im no mechanic,He said when the cam sencers did not work he looked for codes and could not find any.So i will show him this reply and see if he has any ideas !!. many thanks..

V6 crank sensor doesn't always produce a code, whereas the cam shaft one does :y
Hopefully you'll get it sorted, and if he gets stuck point him to here :y
