Title: Road Racing
Post by: Sir Tigger KC on 11 July 2014, 17:39:09
There are proposals afoot to allow Local Authorities to give permission for motor racing on public roads which currently requires an Act of Parliament.  :y

So next time you see the local yoot holding a banger race on your estate it might well be all above board!  ::)

I think that is actually going to be a good thing.

Good for rallying. Good for hillclimbs.

good for local economy

That article made it clear that it is currently illegal to hold races and/or speed trials on public roads, so how come cyclists routinely get away with doing just that?
It's only fair that we as motorists should be allowed to do likewise - including driving on pavements, jumping red lights and other abuses.......

The A10 running through Enfield in North London already has road races, unofficially  ;)

On reading your post Tig, I thought, aye up. Bernie at work again.

On reading the link. Yep. Bernie at work again. ::) ;D

Cameron's back pocket must be heavy enough to pull him over backwards. While Bernie writes off another gift expense to keep his tax bill down. Everyone's happy ;D
