Swear, curse, swear etc etc

It will move eventually, just don't rip the front off!

Joff, if you manage it, please tell me how - mine has been stuck in for years and I've given up!

Pins in, open CDC3 flap and remove cartridge. Fingers in CDC slot, lever one tool only whilst gently pulling HU same side until it "gives" by a few millimetres. Do the same to the other side. May need to alternate a few times but HU will eventually come out

Thanks a lot for that, Rob, but you don't know the full story!
I wish I could put photos up on here, to show you that the bugger won't come all the way out - 3/4, maybe - and won't go all the way back in. An inch or so remains sticking out.
I initially tried to get it out because the scaley-back who sold the car to me didn't include a car pass or radio code, so I was looking for the serial number, to get a code for it off ebay!
