Title: GM part 93189923.
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 01 August 2014, 16:36:41
Apparently this is the part number for the correct battery for my MV6....according to my friendly Vauxhall dealer.

Initially offered at £91.20, they dropped the price by 20% when I pleaded poverty. So £72.96.

Is this the correct battery for the car?........and what of the price?.....Trade card not recognised at this dealer.

All sounds perfectly reasonable...

65Ah sounds about right, price is high though.

The GM batteries used to be Bosch (from memory) but are now Varta (I think, or Exide).

£55.68 + VAT is the trade club price

So £67 inc... an extra £5 for not having TC but still a good improvement on £94 :y

The GM 70AH batteries are the physically largest battery you can get and still fit the jacket on.

The GM one I currently have is rated at 66 AH.

I don't think that £72 including the VAT is too bad a price really......and if I have problems I know where to go. :y

I'm torn between this and Sir Tigger's recent purchase. :)

It's always worth asking  if a discount is available, especially when I don't have the luxury of TC/Trade Card. :y

They can only say no. :y

Why long standing members don't have access to tc is beyond me tbh.

But 3 year warranty on gm batteries.

But PLUS vat on tc remember.

Because not all Vx dealer want to play ball when it comes to TC.

Mine is a point in case.....and many other dealerships are also stopping TC.

20% off is not too shabby anyway. :y
