I have no idea how old the battery is other than 'more than three and a half years'.

Would you consider another Pug, Mr Emd?.... ::) ::) ::) :)

Ooo la la! Well that's blown my Chinese GM battery theory over La Manche!  ::)  ;D

Delphi? Sounds vaguely Froggie?  :-\  I expect that all the major battery manufacturers have factories all over the place.  Varta used to have one near here and that's a German company.  :)

Maybe France is where the Wang Zing Battery Corp. has it's European base and that's where they put the GM sticker on, allowing them to say it was made in France.....  ::)  :-\

That is what I was hoping.......but I can't see an evidence of a manufacturer's date. :-\

I wonder......Is it possible it could be the original 2003 battery?

There was a time when Vauxhall had 'Made in England' stamped on it. :-\

I may have dreamed this, but I thought I read somewhere that the battery-cosy was just that - to help with temperature extremes?
Regarding battery dating, isn't it for retailers to identify just when they sold it, and start the warranty period?
NOT for our benefit!
