Title: My new multimeter has been pushed into service.
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 09 August 2014, 16:31:17
Sir Tigger put me on to this Ebay wonder. Total cost £2.84 including first class post and a 9 volt battery. Not much profit there I would have thought. They must source these units for literally 'pennies'

Anyway.....I attached it to my new 71 Ah Exide battery (which seems to work perfectly) :y

Here are the results.

Engine off........12.49 volts.

Tickover..........14.39 volts.

3000 RPM.........14.39 volts.

Hopefully all the above figures are 'within specification'....... ::) ::) ;)

I did wonder if 14.39 volts at tickover or above was too high. But then what do I know?.... ;D
