I'm in London and carless at the moment. I've spoken to the guy and apparently it came in as a part exchange. It needs tax and its on 85K so cambelt is due (are the intervals 40K or 60K?).
Just need someone to give it a quick once over on essential items before I go out there.
Thanks

Says cambelt done at 76k :y

Yes you're right. Missed that

I have been informed by the seller the car has a blow on the down pipe and he can get it fixed for around £40.
Does this sound about right for this type of repair?

Assuming it's the gasket between the manifold and down pipe, not unreasonable... :-\

There are loads of these cars about, you can afford to be choosey. If you're not getting good vibes, find one a bit nearer.

Also...if you are paying £1200 for a car, you won't get any cast-iron guarantees, it's gonna be an older car.......
