Hi chaps. Against my better judgment i tried to fit drivers door locking motor. It does what it ses on the tin locks but doesnt unlock by any means the key dont unlock the thing wont pull up all other door are fine but drivers wont do anything help needed. I am going to have to clime over from passenger side to drive it, :'(

Do you mean the locking knob at the top of the door panel wont pull up if so a pair of mole grips or similar will help you get it up with maybe a small amount of leverage on the door panel. been there myself.

Sounds like its deadlocked to me....
-
That seems to have done the trick a bit of force. But still wont open with central looking it locks i have same problem as before its just much harder to open nw :-\
-
where did you get your motor from is it faulty
-
It seems to be the brown plastic cover that covers it seems to be snagin on that i taken it of working fine nw, is that very important will it hurt to leave it of :y
-
Missing brown cover won't hurt the lock, but I believe it's there for security to prevent jemmying the lock down the side of the window rubber.

Ah thanx chris. Thats stayin of then :y
-
Sounds like you got it sorted :y

Cheers al, omegod got two thanx , and yes its okay with brown cover of, do you concur with chirs its only for security. :-\

Indeed, it helps make it harder to jemmy, but doesn't make it impossible, so no real loss not having it fitted... :y
