His last interview is/was with Ken Bruce for Radio 2s art show on Friday night, being broadcast on the 29th, I think...

Yes, RIP :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Still his acting in Brighton Rock remains in my memory as one of his greatest moments.

As a director, Oh! What A Lovely War will be rated by me as his 'work of art', with such a powerful message.

Hopefully we will see on television both productions, and especially with Oh! What A Lovely War coinciding with the centenary of The Great War  :)

I quite like the film where he and his 'barren' wife steal a child.

For the life of me I can't think what it was called. :-\

First heard this on the late news last night.A great talent as both actor and director,he has left a huge legacy of great films.Came across as a good and kindly man,sadly missed.R.I.P. Sir Richard.

I saw him in Jurassic Park in the role of gray hair professor and later had read about him that he was one of Lady Diana's advisors of how to talk in public. Lady Diana often used his best beloved turn of speech "my darling" (if my memory serves) if she couldn't remember the name of person with whom she currently talked. Once, during a discussion about problems of filmmakers, Sir Attenborough was embarrassed so much that he called "darling" PM Theatcher as well,... :)

No, don't demote him.

He was a Lord; Lord Attenborough. His brother David is the Sir; Sir David Attenborough :D :D :D :D ;) ;)
