I'm guessing some wanky, pointless, new management backed company wide initative for improviing productivity/wellbeing/profit that is bogging down the medium to large company sector that has piss-poor management.

Working for a large firm, we have a new initiative like that every time there is a mgmt. reorg (usually every 18 months or so). The current one is CI, which is an abortion of Lean and Six Sigma from what I can work out (some stupid middle mgmt. mongrel has set one of his targets on it, so its difficult to get the true picture of what senior mgmt. want from it).  Although based on good ideas, and reasonably usable in our part of the company, due to said middle management targets, its had far too much emphasis, and now is total 'dangle berries'.

I defy anyone to take a course and not take some sort of educational benefit from it...
...even if that means learning not to go near it ever again ;D

Precisely. In a world of BS, the race is to come up with the best BS to gain the upper hand. And some sort of higher ground....

... But all in the world of BS. Make yourself a winner with lean management and its variations. And in doing so tell the world you don't know what your doing, have no common sense and no understanding of your own business and its processes.

It (BS) is the disease of British Management. ...or being fair, the wrong solution to said disease.

My HGV has lapsed and due to my advanced age I now need to have a £100 medical to reinstate it  ::), and then I havn't got a CPC so I'd need to get one of those.  >:(  Not sure it's worth it really, as I'd probably only use it as a 'weekend warrior'!  :-\

As said, the CPC is just more expensive bureaucracy that gets in peoples way of making an honest living!  >:( >:( >:(

Lucky... last time I got caught doing that I got 3 points and an fpn >:( That said, last time I had a lecture of the dangers of running across the road in front of a speeding car Government sponsored attitude adjustment day, it was for doing 47 in a rural 40 whilst overtaking a car that had braked to 25 to pass the camera, breakless onanistic retard >:( Unfortunately I was in second when I booted it swerved to avoid them, and braking from about 55 as I passed the camera, so I should perhaps be thankful for 47 :-\

It's £5 cheaper than the fine now..... bargain.  :y

Around our way they still honour the 10% + 2, so they would have rounded that off to 36mph.  ;D

I got caught in an extended 30mph zone.  :'(

I told the Officer "I was doing under 30mph up to where the old post used to be".  ;D

I thoroughly enjoyed the course, it really wasn't four hours of my life wasted as some have suggested, and I came out of it a much better person.  ::) :y

(tongue in cheek mode off now)  ;)
