Watching British superbike racing on Monday and I'm positive I heard one of the commentators say that Brough Superior were going to make a race bike!Although the name is a real blast from the past I believe they're still a going concern based[I think]in Switzerland but I thought they only did spares for the original bikes or made full bikes-in the style of the originals-to special and expensive order.

Things may also be on the move in the intermediate class, after iconic Brough Superior announced it will field a bike as a Moto2 wildcard entry in the English round. So we’re in for a most interesting debut of an English manufacturer in the GP series, on a historical, home track, but fielding a most modern machine which is expected to add some extra flavor to the sport.
Formula 1 engineers John McQuilliam and Steve Nichols have also contributed to the design of the Brough Superior Carbon 2. The bike will be powered by a spec Honda 600cc engine, official sources add. Luke Mossey will be riding the Bennetts Brough Superior Carbon 2 rider, and he seems quite thrilled: “I can’t wait to race it. I’ve ridden it in California and really like the bike – it reminds me of riding my 250GP bikes. I’ve done well at Silverstone, it’s one of my favourite tracks, so think we can be competitive even though have had less track time than our competitors. Roll on August!”

Moto 2 gave us "old Muca" McWilliams on the brough. Looks a nightmare to ride, as commented by Heuwan etc.
Looks too short a wheel base, too tall centre of gravity, and too steep a steering angle to me. Probably bound up with a steering damper due to the steering angle.
...but as said in the programme, they are on the first step of their development journey. Rate of progress will tell us how good the team are, as there's no problem with Mc'spreader as a development rider. :y
