Haven't had a puncture for many years.
My dad has had three this year- last one this week.! Each repairable amazingly.
Woke up this morning to one on our car. I could see the nail straight away. Put spare on and down to local town. 8 euros for the repair (done taking tyre off) and two euros to "put wheel on car" About £8 all in. While I was there a scooter pulled up with a nail in rear tyre and the guy whipped it out, poked a piece of hot sticky rubber in using a special tool, pulled the tool out and sliced the visible excess off. Pumped it up and the man was off in less than three minutes from arriving 8 euros lighter.
How much do you pay for a repair?

How much do you pay for a repair?
Can't remember, but I paid £10 for a tyre to be removed & reseated the other week ...... corroded rims. I think they could do with a refurb. :-\

Almost £600 last time.

Its usually about £15....but if ive got a slow puncture....i usually put up with it until the car needs a service....as if the garage needs to order any parts....ie pads last service...i mentioned i had a slow puncture on the front....mechanic fixed the puncture (replaced leaky valve) while he was waiting for the pads to show up....foc :y

The tyre place i go to charge £10 to open, repair and refit with black sealant (incase the alloys are a bit damaged/chipped round the edges) :y

They should be cleaning up the corrosion rather than plastering on loads of sealant.

Read this yesterday and could not remember the last time I had a puncture so didn't comment - went out to the car this morning and noticed the rear was looking a bit flat - got a nail in the middle, luckily repairable so it cost me £18 for local tyre place to fix.

For some reason they dont like repairing them around here, normally come up with crap like, its knackered, been driven flat, its illegal etc, which is all bollards and then try and sell you new or part worn, just a question of driving around and try and find a place that just gets on with it, normally around £12 - £18. Reckon there must be a lot of gullible people around here.
