Title: meriva problem

hi all hoping  someone can help out with a problem with my sisters meriva 1.6 z16se 8v on a 53 plate it runs pretty well and idles fine until you indicate left or right then the idle starts hunting although doesn't stall  turn the indicator off and give it a gentle rev and it normally settles down  so far cleaned throttle and new gasket new lambda its recently had a new coil pack and map sensor  but it always seems to happen when indicating  any ideas would be appreciated as my sister is driving me round the bend

hi mark how are you      indicating a fault it will be indicating a fire if it keeps on ;D

oops disconnected battery thinking she has the car pass  just found out after ringing her she hasnt ;D  still at least she can now listen to the idle hunting  ;D

I am good mate...its a poxy Vauxhall...possibly designed by same oppsing self-abuser that designed the Vectra

another thing I noticed today on the code reader it says closed loop using 1 o2 sensor feedback fault  anyone any ideas on this could this be why it is awful on petrol the o2 sensor was only replaced a week or so ago

check the wiring on the o2 sensor did this problem occur when the sensor was replaced?

They are awful on fuel anyway and they drink oil without a drop dripping out of them.  >:(

My sister has a Meriva too, and it had trouble with indicators. All three left hand indicators failed together. It rurned out to be the relay failed. On the Meriva it is under the scuttle on passenger side, coloured bright yellow. I learned this on google. A new relay cured it.

thanks all for the help but too many niggly faults and the fact it was awful mpg got rid of it for her and bought her this astra drives like new and is fantastic on fuel

That'll fix it for once and for all ;D
