Show speedo reaching maximum 300.
I know in Germany they can drive any speed on the autobahn, but that one at night is crazy.
The maximum speed is supposed to be 283 km/h.
Getting to 300 would need a lot more power, unless they did these runs with a strong tail wind.
Otherwise, they put on tyres with smaller rolling radius so the speedo shows more than ground speed, or even opened up the instrument cluster and fiddled the speedo.

Remember that speedometers are generally calibrated to over-read. It's only got to over-read by 6% and it'll be showing 300 kph. ;)

The cars can handle those speeds,so what's the problem.
There's a stretch of autobahn near Hockenhiem, that's downhill, seen some cars going along there at a rate of knots,or for the brave the downhill near liege in bellygum :).
Also sixth video down, is that standard girly car clothing  ;) :y

Lotus reported sustained (a calibrated) 186 MPH round the Nardo test ring in Southern Italy during development. The limiting factor was apparantly the diff overheating, but this was partly cured since the fuel ran out after 20 minutes at this speed  ::) 186MPH = 299.3 kmh.

Vx squashed all talk of speed after the fuss blew up in the press.
