Yes this is in the right section. The Cactus in question being the name chosen by Citroen for its new addition to the C4 range.Has anyone else seen one?I've seen two so far,one in white with the rubber/plastic/whatever they're made from panelling in a truly awful shade of brown and the other in metallic green with black panelling. What were they thinking! Were they onsomething illegal when they came up with this one?I'm only sorry I can't do some kind of picture link or something-but I'm sure someone cleverer than I will do so.

How many grotty images do you want ??

That's it that's the one!!!Sad part is someone is going to walk into showrooms and say "OOOH,that's lovely I want one"at which point their guide dog needs retiring!
-
There are loads of them on the quayside at Sheerness. I don't think they look that bad; at least they're not pretending to be retro like the Mini, Beetle or 500.
-
I saw a yellow one in the local Citroen dealers when sorting her car out ...... the staff couldn't/wouldn't agree with me when I was less than complimentary on it ::)

Thats an ugly barsteward ???

I had that when a salesman asked what I thought of the then new Z4 while I was waiting to deliver a car. My comment that anyone who could cock up the styling of a 2-seater convertible that badly should have his crayons shoved somewhere that he wouldn't want to use them again, didn't go down well!

The interior looks particularly Cac

I quite like it! :D :) Think of all the supermarket car park door dings you won't get, with those cushions on the doors! :y

And the Austin Allegro steering wheel....... :y :y

The quartic steering wheel is dead. Long live the quartic steering wheel ;D
Must be seventies revival week. Worth noting at this point that the seventies is the only decade that can never be unfashionable for long enough to become fashionable again... ::)

Good point, well presented :y
-
I saw one yesterday in the shopping centre near me. It was ugly to say the least :o
Also it's the only cactus that the pricks go inside rather than out ;D
-
At least you don't end up with a door covered in dings thanks to the inbred little mongrels in the car next to you at the supermarket..
..because they helpfully covered it in what looks like oversized bubble wrap.

Not my cup of tea however they will sell like hot cakes to the same sort of people who buy Jukes, Mokkas etc. We are just all old farts stuck in a time warp liking our retro gas guzzling rides without Blue tooth SMS*, Ipad8 dock and GPS driverless mode etc etc :-[ :-[
* so the passenger can communicate with the driver.

Not so Varche, we are simply cynical/intelligent enough to not buy into any of that marketing horse radish... and that is summat to be proud of, not embarrassed by :y
-
I'm not sure I'd ever say I was proud to drive an Omega - it's a 10 year old nondescript non-badge luxobarge that was predominantly driven by reps who couldn't stretch to a BMW when it was new… ;D

I know really. Just acting devils advocate. Does anyone remember how we all railed against the "ugly" Ford Sierra when that was released. For years that was the car copied.

No. Varche is correct. ::)

I have seen more appealing piles of sick..........
-
Somebody was telling me last week of a french car (Peugeot / Shitroen - can't remember which) where the sill panel folded up when the owner tried to jack it up to change a wheel. Took it to main dealer who advised him that a jack and spare tyre aren't standard equipment and that, for that reason, the car is only designed to be suspended on a vehicle lift for servicing. (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26795734/Smilies/ohfffs.gif)
So, they make them so tinny that they can't support their own weight now. And then stick bits of random plastic on them, it seems. ::)

I have seen more appealing piles of sick..........
What?,compared to to a leaf ::),I dont dislike the Cactus

Cactus (http://www.motorionline.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/citroen_cactus_concept_live_francoforte-_2013_6-1024x680.jpg) vs Leaf (http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/01/29/article-2548116-1B0D59B600000578-666_634x413.jpg)

Reps never got the Omega, they had to settle with the Astra or perhaps the Cavalier.......... :y :y

Seen an increasing amount of those mini estates ::)
All girls driving them :-\
