Nope ;D

Somebody has worn it out. Buy a new one. Or two.

Had I properly worn them out I could understand, but these aren't even down to the wear markers... ...on that bit, anyway (the edges are BF'd, proper clown car tyres ::))
-
I take it that's not a repair?
Can only presume its been driven over something sharp and round.
Are those cords inside?
-
Looks like so e pivot marks around it. Could it be where the steering has been turned at standstill....?
...guessing obviously. :-\
-
Looks like a screw head mark that has been driven over to me
keith B
-
Just noticed that line in the block to the left as well.
Ah well, no longer on the car, was wondering if that explained the unsatisfactory handling traits.
-
The line is there from new on sc3. Had a few sets now, all same.
-
Looks like another tyre you have
knackered worn out TB! :P :P :P ;D ;D ;D
Joking aside, that tread appears to be nearing the end of it's life, and even worn more across the crown as though run on the wrong tyre pressure. ::) ::) ::) ::)
Just buy a new set for your next 10,000 miles!! :D :D :D ;)
-
I agree Lizzie. "Put it down to experience" as the man himself would say in fact ;D
-
Wha???? That's practically brand new! ;D

Oh, yes, LZ, that's well and truly shagged, and not before time, hopeless things. Hence they are not on the car any more ;). Sadly, its not so simple as pressures - the cure would be to either drive like tunnie, or nuke Milton Keynes...

Ah yes, of course, the ROUNDABOUTS!! :o :o :o :o :o
Mind you if you take them at 50mph that could account for your rapid tyre wear................or is it the brand!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Is that perhaps where it,s once been plugged. . . And the plugs now come out?
-

Any taxi drivers need a nearly new tyre? TDs Octavia has wheels that those should fit :y (especially considering his garage pays no attention to tyre sizing ;D)
Hole could be a manufacturing defect... but you've a job on to explain how that cause the tyre edge to fall off :-\
-

Yes I did ask him if it had been repaired... But an answer was not forthcoming.
-
Looks like an air bubble got in when it was molded to me.

Soz, must have missed that one. No repairs to these ones... ...not been on long enough to get punctures ;D
-

Yep - agreed :y Seen that defect before, although that's quite a large void, possibly not due to air but a contaminant when moulded.

...so its got bigger as the tread wore down to reveal more of the air pocket...? Probably been visible for a good 3 or 4 mill of the the previously worn away tread ?
