Last night, about 5pm, Markie and I set of for Tunnies. We planned to go much earlier, but my Omega wouldn't start. After checking for the vitals (spark, compression, fuel), we realised we had run out of the latter - so up the garage for a can - and away we went.
Arrived at tunnies at about 6pm. We put a battery on my new manual Estate (the one we changed the head gasket on last Saturday) and she fired up first time, lovely.
Time for a swift hour under the bonnet before going out, so - cambelt kit, water pump ,aux belt we changed. Good job too, the old components had no history and didn't look great.
TB turned up just as we were finishing, and we all walked off into good old Brackley for a curry. I was really impressed with it too - cobra/kingfisher beer, followed by a couple of beers in the Crown (Brackley's finest hotel...).
From there we walked back to TBs, when the heavens opened. We were all saturated, so Jaime had to lend markie and I some spare clothes (was interesting!)
From there, a bit more beer, and a laugh on the Wii. I had 5 strikes on the bowling game, not so good at tennis though!
Woke up around 11am today, loaded up my old estate and took a load of rubbish to the tip. With TB sat behind me constantly mocking the 2.0 (three quarter engine!) and it's outstanding performance.
Back to Tunnies - changed HBV on the new estate, which was leaking like a goodun. It's easier on the V6 than the 2.0 - my left arm is a bit raw!
Another oil/filter change and a fry up back at TBs, before we hit the road home.
The new estate went very well on the way back - it's much better in manual form and Markie couldn't keep up with me in the auto!
I've already started assembling the tank valve and the polyflex fittings - I intend to have the LPG conversion done very swiftly now :)

I can imagine the car did run better without TB in the back, all that extra weight sloshing about would do you no favours at all.

Brackley's Finest based on fact its Brackley's only sh!tpit. Alledgedly, they are redocorating the rooms though :-?

You both need to build up a beer belly, though worry not, it comes with age ;)
Markie couldn't keep up with me in the auto!
And were both overtaken by granny walking her dog ;D
