You almost seem surprised  ::)

I should add that microwaving or blending seem to be more effective than simply switching it off and on again...

First gen doesn't support after iOS 5, second gen supports 8 though so perhaps one of those.

Either way you can downgrade to 7.x currently - until Apple stop crypto signing of 7.. Usually that happens as soon as the next version is released but due to problems they seem to still be signing 7: http://www.redmondpie.com/download-ios-7.1.2-for-iphone-ipad-direct-download-links/

Exactly. 1st gen won't allow better than 5.xx.

Son presume it's the Mrs's/Mrs Estas newer model? Or Esta has gone badly wrong somewhere.

...with his Ipad I mean. ;D

2nd gen, but, relatively, ancient now. Deleted a few apps and it seems a bit better. I am loath to invest in a new one as I have an android tab ( again, old) and a galaxy 4 and I dont do that much on them.

Too late now, but I wouldn't update up to, but NOT including, the oldest model apple says is compatible.

Makes them far too clunky. (Relatively speaking. Still eons better than some of Nokias efforts pre iphone)

Just downloaded an update....... :-\

You mean the one that's rendered iPhones etc completely inoperable?

You'd have been better off downgrading..

That update has been withdrawn so this must be a new, improved, better-than-ever upgrade ;D

Slight improvement.

I have to wonder whether this problem would have arisen had steve jobs been around. tbh any software that causes problems of that nature was not fit for distribution and was probably sent out far too soon !

As its a gaypad, it matters not, as it won't need a cellular signal (unless its a 3g model)
