Title: NCDC20xx pairing question...
Post by: 05omegav6 on 28 September 2014, 09:51:20
Been asked a question, so redirecting it here...

Car is a 3.2 Elite saloon with NCDC 20xx with CID.

Original screen was playing up, so removed and sent off for repair. Replacement screen was paired to HU.

Replacement screen now playing up... If the original (Repaired) screen is refitted, will it need Tech2  input or will it still be recognised by the HU :-\

No, should be fine. I think.

So system can take two screen codes paired at once?

No, should be fine. I think.
If it doesn't work, will you be able to unbreak it?

Asking just in case... :y

So system can take two screen codes paired at once?
Connected at the same time? That could potentially end by tuning to channel smoke.

As long as a certain unreliable code reader hasn't been too near it.

So first screen depaired?
Second screen paired?....if I red it correctly...?

How can 1st screen then work without depairing second screen/tech2..? :-\

As somebody who has a valuable CID in his car, do you really want me to discuss the security system around it?

;)

Yes

....because what's been described here implies more than one screen will work. So some might think they can just go pinch another one.

Op... Each item is paired with one code, as a set. ,...it will not work with another item either missing or swapped for another non paired item.

OP - in this specific scenario, I believe it will work, as it was previously paired.

Let me know, though. Either way, we can sort it :)
