G & H on most keyboards.......

If they are that worn that you cannot read them then the keyboard is probably FUBAR.

The Toshiba laptop I am typing on now had something sticky in it and used to randomly type multiple letters for me when it was hot. I bought a replacement on the internet and fitted it myself.

Lenovo ? Don't they have the red knobby thing that acts as a mouse at around that area of the keyboard ? If so, probably wear/tear or good old fashioned finger gunge. However, Lenovo are a major brand so should be possible ro repair/replace - at a cost  :(

It might be a 'feature' to stop the keys around the nipple from typing random letters when you are using it as a pointer. Is there a switch for turning it on & off?

normally best bet is replacement keyboard off ebay, just check all characters match what you expect like @ and " as they are in different places on some layouts.

Try uninstalling keypad driver in device manager, reboot and keypad driver will reinstall.  This fix can work on about 30% of laptops with this type of keyboard error - if it doesn't work its a hardware fault ;)  Good luck with it

Do they spring back up when depressed...if not could be the tiny plastic U that attaches it to the keyboard.

Replacing the keyboard will be an easy fix...some are as simply as lifting a bezel just above the keyboard and undoing a couple of screws or others literally lever out (gently) and push back (little plastic lugs hold them in).

Best place is Youtube..have a quick look for a replacement video.
