Post by: rockabilly on 07 October 2014, 19:09:25
Help please
Just had the 2.2 Mot, passed with flying colours( 115000 miles),but a small water leak has had me stumped.
The leak is on the Near Side of the engine looking forward and the garage says it is from
a plastic into a rubber hose? yep they have not got a clue an I have not also.
It loses a lt every 1000 to 15000 miles not much but I like thing to be right.
any ideas ,they have said let it develop.

any thoughts (now had the girl 5 years)

Sorry all the garage said was, when under the car ,on the nr side looking up was a pipe that looked plastic going into a rubber pipe . What the boys said was let it develop?
I am sure the fault will get worse, then I might have the answer. just thought some one here had a similar problem.

Latest news on water leak, garage said it lost 1 bar on a presser test over night, and the pipe runs on the drivers side of the engine or standing at the front left side they still say it is plastic going into rubber? at this stage they don't know what it is .

I'd say it's HBV because can't think of anything else that would be 'plastic to rubber'. Ask the garage if theres a vacuum hose connected to the top of said 'plastic'. If yes, then HBV defo :y
