Title: Why is my stereo code just a load of x's?

Kind of blew my load already with the subject but in my cars paperwork the stereo code is just a load of x's

How's that work then?  :o

Yep, no code required (as in when you diss battery or remove HU) as HU is coded to the Display Screen, hence if HU is removed it becomes a brick to someone else.

You should have a Pass Code though, in case you need work doing to the HU or Screen by a Dealer etc.

So if I removed the battery for a day to charge it, it's all good?
