Right,
Since I bought my omega,
2000reg v6 w,5 automatik,
I have a wiring sound when I switch the car on.
Is not for long, seems to pressurise something up?
Could it be the aircon system?
It comes from behind the light or maybe under, on the passenger side.
It dos not affect the daiy to day use on the car. Just done 750 miles over 4 days holiday and no problem at all.
Just would like to know what it is?
Thank you

sai pump that lives under the wing. can be disconnected. they do get noisey with age. :y
-
Ok. Thanks. What is this actually doing?
Any influence on functions ?

What sort of noise does wiring make ???
-
It sounds like something is pressurising when I start the car up.
Only when it's cold or stand for a while.
The longer it is standing the longer the noise.
In the morning for around 2-4 minutes.
Thought first is the aircon?
Sounds like a turbo?

It helps to accelerate the warming of the cats when starting from cold... pipes can burn through, which make it louder. As said can be removed, probably a guide for it :y

Does it sound like a blocked hoover ?

could well be. :y

Ok. Thanks.
I can accept that.
Seems fine otherwise, no noises, no squeezes, no problems, running fine,
Towing nicely, drinking fuell , heating and aircon works, all lights working too. Lol
Was just this wiring sound when I start up, on a way I like it too.
Everybody looks. Ha ha
Sound s like a turbo or Intercooler fires up. Lol
