Title: re earlier post
Post by: raywilb on 15 October 2014, 15:37:11
I asked earlier this week if any medics could give an answer to a query & received back knowledgeable answers. now however its brought up other questions regards a horrific historic incident that's been kept from the wife & I for years. we have recently seen medical records ( Monday) that have been hidden from us & only come to light when two elderly doctors recently retired. our present doctor too cannot believe the situation & is willing to give us the records. ( we pick them up tomorrow ). our concern now is because its historic we wont have a satisfactory result & persons concerned will get off scot free because of a 1980 law which says  case like this must be brought to the court three years after the incident. to tell you a bit more it concerns the death of a new born baby girl of 7lb 2oz. that died after birth. ( they wouldnt explain at time how). I was given a death certificate stating "accidental haemorrhage) which the registrar would not accept until he had a word with the coroner. later I was told no action was to be taken, although the guy said he never agreed with that outcome. I never got a certificate, and found out that birth/death never was registered. all the info has been hidden from us

Sorry to hear that! :'(

Sounds like another NHS scandal being uncovered.

You may not want to touch on it too much, but IF murder or manslaughter is involved, and that is what you seem to be implying to me, there is no statute of limitation on that type of crime. Any 1980 ruling to the contrary could be challenged, but you need to seek legal advice.

F-ck me thats a terrible thing to find out mate and my sympathies to you both. I hope you both have the strength to have this battle and see it through to a just and moral end. I cannot stand injustice and have no fear taking on the establishment, no matter how hard it gets, go for it!
