Dear All,
Glad Tidings from West Africa. I have an Opel Omega 2.5 V6 which had an engine proble. Could not get a qualified mechanic to fix, so i ordered an Emgine but got a 3.0 engine.
The mechanic installed engine but it cannot start.
Is it because we are still using the ECU, Chip Immobilizer of the 2.5. What can i do to have this working?
Thanks

If you have used all of the 2.5 ancillary parts on the 3,0 engine it should work ok,but if you have swapped the crankshaft sensor over as well it could have been damaged during the swap as the wires go brittle with age,may be worth trying another :y

The throttle potentiometer wiring is also different between the short and long plenum setups. Make sure the throttle body and wiring loom are from the same engine. (probably best to use the original short plenum, throttle body, loom and throttle potentiometer from the 2.5 engine).
