Title: MID Display Pre FL

Hi guys
I'll be purchasing a new MID Display off Ebay and was wondering if when I fit it will it need to be reprogrammed again or can I just plug and play. I'm in Spain and it's coming from Germany so not sure what the score is on this situation. If I need to reprogram...How is that done?
All help is appreciated.

You need tech2 to get it programmed, did you order the old two connector model or the MFL far superior single connector MID?

I ordered the old 2 plug/2 Bulb Display.

Is yours a pre 1998 car?

The older MIDs need to be programmed for engine, gearbox and tyre size (Newer MIDs have many more options). This needs a Tech2.

Tech 1 for the very early ones. Is yours a 94 as shown in your heading?

Aye, a Tech1 or Tech1a with the Omega cartridge and the multiplexor unit will do it as well.  But a Tech2 will do all Omega MIDs.

Tis true, should have read "or tech 1" for the early ones, opens up more options to ponce/borrow one from a friendly local garage. That's what I used to do......Not sure if they have a Tech 2 for me to borrow now. :-\
