Is it me or has anyone else noticed this.
You can be anywhere where there are other people, a shop, train, walking down the street, a pub, anywhere. And you hear a very short whistle, just around five notes very fast, and not repeated. No tune as such. If you look around, it is not obvious where it came from or who did it, but I've come across this so many times now that I suspect that it is usually a middle aged male.
This may all seem a but nuts "Rog has finally lost it", but it really does happen, twice in London yesterday, but I've come across it all over the country.
Is there some clandestine whistling club or something ? Is it some kind of signal ? Or, just maybe I really am going nuts ::)

Ring tone used by Samsung/Android phones when a new email comes in.
I quite like it but I changed mine because I couldn't tell the difference between my phone & everyone else's.
PS now you know you have to get to Shackeng before he gets to you..........

All I would recommend is that you speak to Cem about it; he will be able to comment being outside the British National Security system! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;) ;)

You have clearly become paranoid, Mr Rog.
Too much time spent with sheep in Wales will be the cause of your problem. :)

The book 'Communion' by Whitley Strieber will explain everything. :)

I'M NOT, NO I REALLY AM NOT PARANOID . . . . .
The Whistlers ARE out to get me . . . . . . . .
Errrrrrrrrrrrr . . . . . . I was trying to explain all this to SWMBO over dinner, she soon said " well, sounds like it could be a ringtone to me" . . . . . Damn ::)

Yep, that is it exactly. However, this is the truth . . . . .
Centuries ago, the people of the planet Sam, The Samsungites, looked at planet Earth and embarked on a long term plan to take it over. Slowly, gradually over the years, one by one they were introduced and integrated into Earth society working their way into positions of influence. They all operated individually, unaware of the others on the same task.
When the Masters on Planet Sam decided that there were enough of them, they gave the order that they should all contact each each other so they could become one and embark on the take over of Earth. However spread across the whole planet, identifying the others was difficult.
The Masters devised a simple plan, as Samsungites went about their daily lives they would emit a signal at frequent intervals. Other Samsungites on hearing this signal could then make direct contact. The signal was known as the Samsungsong . . . . . . . . . . . . they will soon be our masters !

I guess that depends if yours is a typo as well. ;)
I do wish Jobs would clear off, (properly) but on average he does correct more than he re corrects. If you see what I mean. Auto spacing and capitals after a full stop tip the balance in favour of Jobs version of predictive text. Just. :-\
